flight delay

we went to the dominican rep 2 weeks ago we were delayed for 36hrs and 10mins because of an electic fault we wer put into a hotel for the night and were given 10pound vouchers we had to buy our own drinks we could find no rep t tell us anythng the cost was £1 900 for 2 we missed 2 days of our all inclusive holiday when we got home they sent us a cheque for £260 for the 2 of us is this fair if not what do i do now cheers

    Have you claimed off your travel insurance? You will need to check your policy for what you are entitled to.

    Legally, you are not entitled to anything more.

    if you were trying to claim under your travel insurance for travel delay, it would be for things you had to purchase during the delay and would have to have receipts to prove it. Normally would be at least 4-12 hrs delay, depending on who youre insured with.

    I don't know about the amount they gave you back by cheque... depends on how long you were to be away on hols and how they weighs against what you paid for the holiday.
