Can't reply in this forum without allowing "Google AJAX Search API"

Hi all,

is it only me or does everyone else who uses Ghostery have the same Problem?

When I reply to a message with all trackers blocked, I get the error message about my message being too short and all my written text is gone. If I allow "Google AJAX Search API", then everything is fine.

    I don't use Ghostery, but I think ajax.googleapis.com is required for login authentication.

    It seemed to change several months ago when MSE started using a different host that provides better DDoS attack prevention... I think...

    It's suddenly needed Google Analytics to be unblocked before login is allowed.....

    I have scripts from Google Analytics (googleanalytics.com) blocked and can log in/out fine.

    Not sure about this, I was logged in with all trackers disabled.

    addendum tried with ghostery and no scripts allowed from ajax couldn't login in [new window] and couldn't reply in this window until i re-allowed ajax... in noscript

    Google Analytics is different to ajax.googleapis.com.

    You need to enable ajax.googleapis.com in order to log in.

    The op is about ajax or am i missing something , perhaps tronator may clear up whether they have it disabled in scripts :o. You also need it to reply and to use emoticons :eek:

    Seems I don't need to have it unblocked today.
    Not sure what was going on yesterday, allowing GA was the only way it would let me log in....Just logged in with it blocked and all is fine....

    I think MSE was playing around with some trackers. Today the "Google AJAX Search API" is not in my list of blocked trackers anymore.
