Hi was wondering if anyone has any experiance of combi boiler faults.
a ferroli boiler had an f2 fault- electrode, had it before electrode just needing cleaned.anyway service was due so called out an engineer who said he repaired the electrode.
arranged to do service and gas safety cert a week later. roll on 8 days the boiler is broken again.gets same guy out who now says i need a new boiler for £1600!
got a 2nd engineer out for a 2nd opinion he says there are 5 leaks in the boiler and has isolated it.
now has anyone one else ever had 5 leaks appear 8 days after a boiler was supposedly ok?
as you can tell not happy with what has gone on.

thanks for the reply plumber90
it's just the fact that there were not any leaks after the first repair.
i looked at the boiler on the wednesday night when it was the f2 fault.
no signs of water but fault wouldn't reset.
after the engineer left on the thursday night the boiler was leaking.
had another engineer look at it tonight.it had 5 leaks water dripping out of it he said he's never seen a boiler leak so bad.
he has shut off gas and water and asking the question why if it was this bad the engineer on thursday never shut it off.
waiting on cost of new boiler after the first engineer has taken £120 for first breakdown and £80 for the 2nd!0 -
I'd be checking the electrode wiring & if it had leaks then water on this could be the causeI'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.
You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.0
