Faded Painwork on old car
Comments

We have recently purchased a 1965 Morris Minor and the paintwork is very faded, we have tried T Cut with little success can anyone recomend a product which will improve the faded paintwork
Cant help personally futher than what you've done already, but try posting over on detailing world - they will be able to offer specific advice.

Personally if its that old and faded, I would be tempted by a respray.
May be worthwhile taking it to a detailer and getting an opinion but it could just be faded so deep that it will end up patchy / through to primer.
Soooooo nice when it just comes out the spray shop.0 -
what colour is the paint and is the fading even or is it patchy?
you may be able to get the paint back to looking good or it may be beyond repair and in need of a respray
depending how bad it is there are a couple of things that you could do, if the paint thickness is OK then you could colour sand the car and then polish and wax it afterwards
or it may also come back with a good machine polish using varying grades of cutting compound
it is impossible to say without seeing the car and a few pictures wont really help as you would need to look over the car and check what paint depth is left on the car before being able to give a true indication of what is required0
