From Dave Gorman's e_Newsletter:
A few people asked if I was going to run the mailing list competitions again this year... and seeing as they asked, I thought I would. So long as I can think of things to give away.
I thought I'd start with one of my Taskmaster shirts. The one I'm wearing in this photo.
If you watched the series, you might well be thinking... "isn't that the shirt you cut in two..." and, um, no... it's not. I had to have identical outfits for all my task-days... I'm giving away one that survived.
A little explanation as to how these competitions work. I could run them via Twitter, say and encourage people to retweet something or use a hashtag of whatever... but I think that sort of thing encourages a sort of spammy use of the medium. Obviously I'd be delighted if people wanted to spread the word about the show... but wanting to and having to in order to take part in a silly competition are very different things. Besides, I like the idea of doing something that's exclusively for the members of this list.
So here's the deal... I have a question for you about tonight's episode. Please don't reply to this email with the answer - I won't see it. Instead you have to email your answer to MLIGoodish@Gmail.com.
Your email has to come from the address you used to sign up to the mailing list. One entry per person.
At some point on Wednesday I'll use a random number generator to pick an email from my inbox. If it contains the right answer, comes from an address that's on the list and is the only entry to have come from that address, then you'll win the shirt. (It makes it easier if you include your name and address in the email as well as the answer). Um... that's it. Oh... I only use that email address to run these competitions, so I won't see anything you send there unless the random number generator leads me to it by chance!
So the question for viewers of episode 2 is this... what is Randy's surname?
Answer: Rochester
