Nonsense and I work in the payday loan arena and this does not happen.

Credit checking people yes but looking at credit scores, The person you know should have had a nappy fixed around there neck to catch the carp they were spouting

So, out of pure curiosity, how do you explain the fact that lenders in payday loan complaints quote the customers credit score as a reason they lent to that person in the first place then ?

So could you perhaps put up a screenshot of what exactly is seen?

Yes of course I could put up a screenshot. I do not have to prove anything and am not sitting there filtering out all the details from an application form just to make you happy.

Did he clarify who generated this credit score? most lenders use credit scoring, but this isn't the same score that you see on the CRA

I'm not asking you to prove anything, just to provide some useful information. Time and again we're told by punters here that they know all about credit searches, but never yet have I seen anyone put up a screenshot. Accordingly, I get the impression that no one here really knows what's seen.

I can verify the score too.. after I complained to a lender they told me exactly what my score was on the day I took the loan out! I thought a score was meaningless and they couldn't see it up until that point!

Weather he meant the credit score on the screen, or the score the lender gives you, I don't know.

My hunch is, after what I've heard today, the former.

But the score he would see on his screen is surely the one that they have generated?

my mortgage lender didn't see my "score" from any CRA, they guy showed me his screen when he was running the credit check, in fact he didn't see anything it just came up pass or fail

No. Although lenders can see similar information about you, they have their own scoring systems based on their individual lending criteria

And what would that be, then?

You've got to laugh. This whole debate could be knocked on the head instantly by someone showing us a screenshot. But no one will. I wonder why not?
