Even so, the stash is for my personal use and I really am trying to get through it, though I don't need to at any speed. I just need to stop getting new ideas and stop spending on it.
Then what about offering them articles about stash busting? Do a couple of examples...

Ha unfortunately I don't sell them extra articles I'm just on a standard retainer (which is good for my income as it means it's regular). I am definitely working through my stash with enough projects and I always put articles together based on things I'm working on anyway so I am sort of doing that already

Hi milobrulee
Well done for trying to tackle your debts. At 25, with your income, you can get the debt shifted fairly quickly, Only if you don't add any more debt to it!
Could you use your hobby to earn you an additional income, selling the things you make? If that's not possible, are you able to do some guest blogging? Paid!
As you are needing an emotional break, I'd be tempted to clear la radoute and creation. Even if they are not costing the most, getting rid of two debts will feel like a win. (Which it is!)
Good luck on your debt free journeyMissing my money saving mojo.

I have previously sold things I've made but honestly it's just not worth the cash. End up paying yourself a few pence an hour after materials are accounted for.
At present I'm not too concerned with earning more income, just using my current income properly.
Trying to be better with food. Had fruit from the free box at work, skipped morning coffee. Will go and get some bits from Tesco to keep in the work fridge for the next few lunches. Soup and a roll for dinner tonight.
My only spend today will be a few pounds in Tesco to get lunch for the rest of the week.0 -
That's good that you've already weighted up the cost and profit of selling stuff, and if you dont need extra income, just a better handle on the money that you've got, that (to me anyway) is a lot easier to deal with.
If your able to, take a trip round the shops around 5-6pm. different supermarkets vary what time they reduce stuff, but my sister can manage a weekly shop for under 10.00 nearly every week, for her lunches, and eve meals for her, partner, and kiddie.
My thing would be - make friends with your freezer (assuming you have one). Pretty much everything freezes, and when i lived alone, my bread lived in there, so a loaf would last 2 weeks without risk of having to get rid of it. buying it reduced at 20p a loaf also makes a huge difference.
Also have a look at aldi and lidl, they have some great things at a fraction of the price of branded goods.Missing my money saving mojo.

What is it that makes you want to spend so much money?

If you are buying hobby related items and you are not using that hobby to bring in extra income you are essentially prioritising a luxury over repaying your debt. I think you need to look at why you are acquiring this stuff you cannot afford regardless of the fact you don't need it. If you get to grips with that you can clear that debt easily on your income. I have to agree with enthusiastic saver on this one, and after thinking about it for the afternoon, I've just got another thought on your hobby items. You look at there not being a lot of profit if you sell them, but they do make a profit. If you get to enjoy your hobby, and it pays for itself, does it matter that you make very little profit? You are at least recouping some of the money that you've spent on the hobby, which could be used to pay off debts?Missing my money saving mojo.
