We don't have a weak signal as such, just whopping great big trees blocking the signal.
We currently have an echostar 101 (I think!) which picks up all of the channels perfectly - except for weather problems but we only lose channel 5 and qvc etc so I can live with that!
We previously had a sagem box that was totally hopeless and sold it on ebay!
Anyway I'm after a PVR with twin tuner that is good in weak signal areas. I know about Humax but wondered if anyone can recommend any others?
Thanks in advance!

Have you tried one of those boosters? Don't know if they work on digital as well as analogue, but I'm guessing you know someone and can borrow it to try - or get one from Maplins or Argos. They're usually good at taking things back.0

Hi, you could buy a £100 signal booster and still not get anything, in my old house i couldn't get a single channel with an outdoor aerial, i have recently moved and i'm using a £4.99 indoor aerial "SLX Asda £4.99" and i can get 36 channels which is very good.0

Thanks for your help!
We have a mast head amplifier and the signal is fine most of the time.
I am wanting to replace my digibox with a PVR that is good with a weak signal. I know about Humax and wondered if there were any others?0 -
Hi,
User comments about a variety of Freeview PVRs can be found on these sites - pvruk.co.uk, radioandtelly.co.uk/pvr.html and digitalspy.co.uk/forums.
It appears Humax and Topfield get good write ups from their users.
Hope this helps.0
