I would be interested to hear from "weekday lodgers".

    1) do you pay the weekday rent yourself or does your employer pay?
    2) do you rent five nights per week (sun-Thurs) or four (mon-Thurs)?
    3) are you on a contract? Do you lodge in the same place each week?
    4) how many miles away do you work from your main home and weekday home?
    5) is this a temporary thing?

    1) You pay unless there is a reason why they wouldn't wanna miss you as an employee however highly unlikely they would pay it on top of your salary.
    2) Four days. You may even negotiate working from one day a week if possible and rent 3 nights.
    3) Depends.
    4) London-Manchester miles
    5) Yes but not a short term temporary, will be more than 6 months.
