Parking ticket help!

Hi, was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for the situation I'm currently in.
So I got a parking ticket from the council at the start of August with an early payment cost of £25, going up to £50 after this period. I decided to appeal the ticket as I was informed that the early payment period would be frozen until the result of the appeal. I haven't recieved any correspondence back containing the result of the appeal and I sent the parking services department a few emails, none of which I received a reply to, even when informing them that I had since moved house so wouldn't receive any letters sent to the old address. Today I had a look online at the ticket in an attempt to chase it up and it has since been bumped up to £75!!!! This is ridiculous and as a student I can't really afford this! I would have paid the £25 had I been told my appeal had been rejected! What should I do about this? I haven't been kept informed by them at all!

Your best bet is to post this on pepipoo.com as they are the council/police motoring experts, whereas we specialise in private parking tickets on MSE.
Read the FAQs page and post any relevant redacted documents (both sides) with your query.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

Have you rang the parking enforcement department at the council to tell them that you havn't had a reply to your appeal?
As a matter of interest, what was the ticket issued for and what was the basis of your appeal?PLEASE NOTEMy advice should be used as guidance only. You should always obtain face to face professional advice before taking any action.0
