Hi all, I mistakenly overstayed the paid parking period in Fistral car park (SMARTPARKING) by 40 ish mins. This was due to the longer than expected time to packup a family of five after a couple of hours surfing. I have evidence of what I paid as i paid by mobile app, I did buy a coffee but dont have a receipt .
I need a bit of advice as everyone in this world is out to screw you and I'm fedup of just being taken for a ride. Is there anything I can do about this or should I just pay up? I cant really afford to be taken to court, or to end up paying £100 rather than £40. It probably wont help, but we paid for a full days parking a couple of days before and only used a few hours. I should be sending them an invoice for a service paid for, but not received.

regardless of your anger, you need to read the BPA sections of the NEWBIES sticky thread and follow that advice

you are just one of hundreds of people caught out in that car park since Smart took it over, the previous PPC was PE who were even worse

As advised, everything you need to know on how to bear this unregulated scam can be found in the Sticky thread for NEWBIES. Send the BPA template in blue that you will find there, then start reading up on how to win at PoPLA (second stage appeal) as the first appeal will probably be rejected (which is normal.)

Nobody here will suggest you pay Not-so-Smart.
