HELP! Disputed bills damaged Rating.

I have been looking all over the net for some answers and seem to be getting no where!
I have recently disputed some bills/agreements. One for a leased vehicle final payment. I was charge an extra £400 for items that were included in the lease, this has finally been fixed but I was asked multiple times to pay the full balance, I paniced about the damage this bill being outstanding could be doing so I paid the full amount in the end and now have to claim the money back.
The other is for a disputed gas bill with one of the big six which has been on going for over 1yr this I never paid as it was a huge sum of money but has now been again zero'd as I did not actually have a gas meter (yes it took over one year to get rid of a gas bill for a property with no.gas meter).
HOWEVER I think the damage has already been done. My score (using clear score) has dropped from 480 to 302. This is an issue for me particularly as I regularly buy properties to either "flip" or rent out.

My questions are these, is there a way to have my score corrected/amended as these bills were incorrcet?? And as I was most certainly in the right to contest these bills.

Is there a report I can get which will explain in black and white what has done the damage and caused this drop??

Thank you for reading and thanks in advance of any advice!!!

  • Have any incorrect markers been removed from your credit file? If not, you need this to be addressed.

If your file is now correct, you don't need to do anything about the score. It is fictional and has no relevance to anything.

Dont worry about the score, its just a figure, in any case if you register with the other 2 credit ref agencies you will see your rated in a different way. If you dont believe me as clearscore to lend you money.

Is the data on your credit file correct, as that is what lenders see.

From the time you formally disputed the amount owed, until the creditor's providers final resolution, collection activities are usually suspended on the amount disputed (although it is wise to get that confirmed when you open the complaint)

As others say, don't worry about your credit score as only you can see it. The detail of what is on the credit report is the important data. :)

You need to take up this CRA reporting malpractice with the ICO at the very least. You should not be blacklisted for disputed payments. And why is a car lease on there? Car leasing is not credit. Again, try and get the ICO to justify why they allow merchants and the CRAs to abuse the system in these ways. You'll be up against it, of course. The ICO are incompetent and are in bed with the CRAs, and the CRAs themselves take any data without QA checks.
