Accident at work

Apologies if this is in the wrong section.
I slipped and injured my knee at work 4 weeks ago. I slipped on food waste which hadn't been cleaned and there were no hazard signs.
I've seen the dr and been for an xray. I am on strong pain killers and anti inflammatory meds. I'm still struggling with it and am off work at the minute. I am waiting for an MRI scan.
My boss has told me to put a claim in for this injury as I am worried about how bad it may be. Health and Safety have recorded it.
Where do I start?

If you are in a union, then see your rep. Or if you have any legal cover insurance use that
Otherwise speak with a specialist injury compensation solicitor0 -
Quentin has it right. You start by instructing someone to represent you, which could come from your union, legal cover on an insurance policy, or a solicitor that either specialises or has experience with personal injury claims."MIND IF I USE YOUR PHONE? IF WORD GETS OUT THATI'M MISSING FIVE HUNDRED GIRLS WILL KILL THEMSELVES."0

. Health and Safety have recorded it.
What does that mean exactly?
Has the company recorded it in their Accident Book?
Are the circumstances recorded correctly?
Have they reported the accident to RIDOR?This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Hi
Recorded in the accident book and put onto their system. It has been forwarded for investigation too.
Another question.....I've been off of work sick. Is this sick leave added as normal.sick to.my sick card or is it different as it's work related ?
A friend said that Occy Health could report it as work related ??
I'm just concerned because if I do have to have an op that would be a second bout of sick and if we get 3 in 6 months we go onto monitoring ...
Any advice appreciated x0 -
I would seek professional help for your claim
In the meanwhile get a note bokk and pen and write down everything that happened, dates / times, plus record when / who dates / times / you contacted in your company, do it by email and keep a copy.
Record all visits to dr's / hospitals etc who you saw / for how long etc. Keep all records of hospital appointments
Take photos of your leg / knee to show any damage / bruises etc.
