our bond wasnt put in to any scheme

The property we were renting was being illegally rented to us, we gave a bond and we were told that this had to go into a scheme ,you guessed it it wasnt put in any scheme ,it appears there is nothing we can do ,does anyone on here know of anything we can do ? thank you

She rented the property without the bank knowing so our tenancy agreement isn't valid the bank now are repossessing the house , and we can not get the 2 months grace as we shouldn't be in the property even though our rent is paid in full till feb, the eviction is next week0

Are you sure the tenancy agreement is not valid just because the owner didn't have consent to let? If you still have an agreement, 'd definitely look to claim compensation, especially as you'll need a new deposit etc when you're evicted?0

there are loads of posts explaining what to do with unprotected deposits, just the same as there are regarding repossessions. Have you read them?0 -

1) You've already been told what to do about the repossession.
2) Re the deposit, read:
* Deposits: payment, protection and return
3) multiple threads on related issues are extremely annoying. Stick to one thread.
