I wonder if anyone can advise me, I took out a PPI policy with Northern Rock which I did through the post, I ticked the box for PPI & signed the form, down to this the bank has refused my claim, do I have reason to go to the Ombudsman or have I no cause for complaint. Thanks in advance for any help given

That is not an unexpected outcome.
How do you think it was mis-sold when no staff member was involved selling it to you?I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Depends on whether you didn't understand what the PPI actually was, or the language in the application form implied it was something else, or did more than it should have done. You can escalate your complaint to the FOS yes, but don't expect anything. If you are successful, it's a bonus.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0
