Howdens kitchen ranges

Hi all,
We are having our kitchen done and currently collecting quotes and sorting the design.
I know Howdens have several different ranges that are different costs.
Just wondering if anyone know what the quality difference is like on the different ranges? (Burford vs Greenwich shaker for example?)

Thanks,
Nicola

    Greenwich is the bottom range.

If you have the brochure, I'm prett sure it goes from most expensive to cheapest as you flick through. It certainly used to be.

Greenwich at one end, Tewkesbury? at the other. Burford sits in the middle somewhere.

    Thanks.
I just wonder how they compare? Are the doors thicker do you know?
I'm going to try and get to their showroom I think to have a look.

greenwich is entry level chipboard door with a poor edge banding finish. Burford is mdf door that you can buy cheaper with better quality from the likes of diy kitchens

  • I've got the Greenwich shaker kitchen, I'm happy with all the cupboards, I managed to get quite a lot of my money!

The previous owner installed Greenwich in the kitchen. I like it and I've had no problems with it.

Go to your local Howden;s outlet and get the brochures. They general have a small showroom with most of their range on show. Also, look at the wortops range.
I was told by our kitchen fitter that the expensive ranges are at the front of the brochure going to the "cheaper" ones at the back. Greenwich Shaker is in the middle.
We had Greenwich Shaker White installed and like it a lot. Everyone who has seen it like it. We was told the units are the all the same with only the fronts/doors being different.
I suspect it can also be down to the fitter and the finishing touches.
Lots have been typed here about Howden's Lamona units - we got another brand of built-under oven and hob. But we did use the Howden's extractor unit.

    Good luck,
    John
