Tui Travel PLC Share Transfer Question

Hi

Can anyone help me understand what has happened to my SAYE First choice employee Shares.

On 3rd Sept 07 First choice became part of Tui Travel plc. I have 3000 ordinary shares, they were worth around 3.00 each so estimated value of 9000.00

Today I've had a transfer notice giving them a value of 10p each, yet when i check the tui share price they are 2.54 each

Have I just lost 8700.00?? If so, how can that be? I'm feeling sickly!

I called my HR department but nobody can help answer my question.

If the share certificate says 'y number of shares at 10p' - then as long as y multiplied by £2.54 = around what you expect than don't worry.

What you are seeing is a 'notional value' mainly for accounting purposes - it has no impact on the share price
