Powerflush mess

I've just had a new boiler installed and somehow during this process the bedroom carpet has ended up getting trashed. (I'm the landlord and I found this out from the tenant, so I hope I'm in the right forum - sorry if not).

At one end of the radiator there are marks on the wall starting level with the valve at the top and stains on the carpet immediately below. I've worked out that this probably happened when they were trying to pour protector fluid into the radiator.

There's also a much bigger stain, about a foot across and maybe 2-3 feet long. This is about a foot away from the wall and there are brown splashes extending about a foot up the wall and brown spots on the carpet near these.

I don't know much about powerflushing, so I'm hoping that someone who does might be able to shed some light on what might have gone wrong. The gas fitter didn't say anything about it and I think he's likely to try to deny it.

Thanks

I would just put the damage to the gas fitter and don't give him any option other than to repair the damage, less wear and tear. They should have professional liability insurance for this sort of damage.
The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.
