Front Door Keyhole Draught

We have a UPVC door which faces west and when those winds blow it creates a cold draught which makes our porch colder - there is a radiator in there so will be making the radiator work more in order to keep the temperature up. I have tried sticking sticky felt and white tack over the hole but it has to be removed when leaving the house and doesn't always get put back in place.
Any ideas on how to stop the draught?

you could always replace the lock barrel with an inside thumb turn type I suppose, It's all I can think of.

Blimey , must be some wind to blow in that sort of lock, you could still get a blank disc and drill into the plate so swings over the hole by not tightening screw0

Living on the north east coast, though beautiful, does have its drawbacks when those westerly winds blow.0 -

This is true but if only everyone in our family would 'stick' to the plan.0 -

Thanks all.
Decided to give the white tack another try as it is easier than drilling holes etc. Thanks for all your advice.0 -
It's more likely the cold air is coming from the cut out for the euro cylinder, depending on who made the door this could be anything from a neat euro cylinder shape to a large box section. I would suggest taking off the handles and using anything from a small bead of silicone to some polystyrene foam depending on the size of gap you find. If you decide to seal around the spindle as well make sure you leave enough room for the spindle to operate freely
. Hope this helps
