Web of trust WOT browser add on-safe?

Hi folks,
I have been using Web of Trust WOT for short browser add on for a long time, basically what it does is flag up a warning when doing a search on google where red is a dangerous site and green is ok, and gives a warning before you go to a site if it has been reported by users as unsafe. I have it installed on computer where I do online banking as well, though I have Rapport installed too.
My avast antivirus has now notified me that WOT is not a recommended add on as reported by users.
Any thoughts about it whether I should uninstall it or not, especially on the computer where I do online banking?
Thanks for any advice.

uninstall it and rapport, avast checks your browsing in a similar way as does firefox
before installing anything like this you need to consider what they may do with the data collected, unfortunately they're all at it, all you can do is wade through disabling telemetry options in everything you useDon't you dare criticise what you cannot understand0 -
WoT used to be great when I first used it, but about 12 months ago it began to give what an AV program would call "false positives": it was reporting incorrect warnings about perfectly good sites that I knew to be good. It carries out its recommendations based upon website users. Now, imagine the kind of user who has imperfect computer knowledge, no patience or intention to learn, and blames the website for his/her mistakes, then imagine that multiplied over time and more such similar users. I think it has become a victim of those types of users. It is not dangerous in the sense of harming your PC: it has simply outlived its usefullness due to incorrect information. Ditch it, and try to take care with your surfing!I think this job really needs
a much bigger hammer.
