CF Advisery said I have to pay £495 once I have reclaimed the money they are taking this from credit card but have not yet accepted the money they said I can pay once I receive the money originally but now its processing on the card website I used.
I am a little confused by this, did anyone else have dealings with this company? are they scammers? or not?
thanks for any info regarding this

General rule of thumb is to think of any CMC that requires an upfront payment as a scammer. So many of those types that charge £495 upfront have failed taking or turned out to be scams.
Why do you want to pay £495 for something that is free?I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. well they told me originally that i had to pay nothing at all.. so i don't really understand why they even charged me today... what is the best way to protect myself from this? they have all my details now.0

Ok so I rang the card company regarding this, told them the £495 they were attempting to take was suspected fraudulent. No they say to me they have to take the money before they can do anything about it. I have since emailed CF Advisory to cancel all possible transactions as a result of this and told them that I have reported this as fraud.
I should get the money back from my Credit card company right? As I told them before it's even gone through.0 -
Be aware that accusing them of "fraud" if you've signed that you agree to pay an upfront fee is not likely to stop them (eventually) receiving the money. You should have fully checked the terms of the contract before taking this action.
Certainly your credit card company will investigate your allegation, but don't assume they will automatically refund or stop the payment if they find you have agreed to it.0
