Do all modern shower trays have waste trap cleaning feature?

Hello Folks,
I'm in the process of refitting two showers and just wonder do all the modern showers trays have the feature where you can lift off the little plastic cover of waste take out a plastic trap thingy that seems to catch all the hair?
One of our older shower trays (almost 25 years old) doesn't have this, whereas a newer shower tray from 2000 does have.
Just want to make sure that all the new trays do have this hair trap thingy that you can clean, would save a lot of hassle?
Many thanks for your kind help

Hard to say whether ALL do but I have noticed the same as you. Shower in last house and current house both from approx 2000 have standard waste and I put a strainer over them to catch my long hairs. One I installed in 2009 had the removable flat top and cup underneath and also my mum's new build from 2010 has this too.0

New builds may, updates to existing installations may not. To spare yourself angst & caustic soda, get one Anyway...0

Do none of them just have the normal metal colander type thing on ? My current shower has the plastic bit you pull out, and the tube underneath it, but I don't like it. It blocks up with about 2 of my hairs in it so I'm frequently trying to clean it mid hair wash, and it's not as easy as swiping it clear with your foot!0

Thanks a lot for all your replies.
I'm still a little unclear about this.
Am I right in thinking that in all of the shower trays now, I can remover the cover of the waste entrance on tray, and if it doesn't have a trap to catch hair, I can simply buy and put one in there.
Or maybe not, there is no way to catch any hair?
Thanks once again0 -

My understanding is that shower trays and wastes can be bought separately.0
