Thanks Redux.
Just to add Tesco 0% is limited to Tesco.com purchases not 'anywhere as you suggested.
Yes, apologies, you're right. I should have remembered that, as I have one myself.
OK, go with the zero on the Aqua instead, but be careful and stick to something broadly like what I laid out, clearing the existing ones in full and recycling.
In about Match or April or so onwards, or even a bit earlier, do some then all current spending on one of the other cards, to help cover the Aqua by the time the offer period ends. After all, if you do overshoot, even 30% is lower than 44%0 -
Is the idea to continue to use 1 card for spending whilst making larger payments via debit card.
That's an interesting idea, maybe I could use cap 1 or Aqua (dependent on what limit they issue)for fuel/groceries for a few months which will free up some debit card bank cash to meet the larger suggested payments,Replenished CRA Reports.2020 Nissan Leaf 128-149 miles top charge. Well yes. Once you reckon how much on average you'll afford to pay back per month, pay back a bit more than that, and do some modest new spending on a card that won't be charged interest, either the 0% on purchases offer and later one of the cards that was paid off by then.
You need to be confident you're getting the overall remaining balance heading downwards though, and each month, as otherwise you run out the other end of the 0% offers with the same or higher total balances, as you can see people on here warning.
So, aim at £752 in 6 months, plus a bit of interest to start with, say £130 reduction per month. That's why I suggested above maybe £110 net downwards first month, £140 2nd, £130, then there's no interest, etc ...0 -
Thanks
Confidence in reducing balances I find easiest via Tesco foundation with a minimum 25 per month dd.-I'll leave that as is for the time being.
C+ is smallest balance, that could be cleared end Nov wages.
Need to think over , cap 1 or luma would be my next card -maybe I could start asap and use Aqua 0% once it arrives for fuel groceries and continue next few months.
Thanks MSErs this will be re visited every few weeks only when I have cleared a card at a time.Replenished CRA Reports.2020 Nissan Leaf 128-149 miles top charge. Savings depleted. VM Stream tv M250 Volted to M350 then M500 since returned to 1gb0 -
Aqua card arrived today £300 initial limit. Not bad with 0% 6 mths purchases.
I've got used to using Tesco card past 2 weeks for spending as it's contactless which means fuel/sandwich at work maybe ciggies when getting fuel.
Only lifted cask from atm once.
Tempted to purchase an inexpensive Win10 laptop for home use no upgrade plans as I've used mac books past 3-5 years and more recently this IPad air which i'm posting from (a little bluetooth keyboard excellent device)Replenished CRA Reports.2020 Nissan Leaf 128-149 miles top charge. That's Aqua 0% purchase Asus laptop 200- I won't be using that card for a while.
C+ was 86 balance-I've paid 57 tonight -I'll wait until end of week when alll my essentials are debited and clear c+ -interesting as I always thought it was 40% apr -that's for cash withdrawels -purchase rate is 32% -think I'll probably close this card as didn't require it often though maybe keep it for very small purchases or emergancy's.
1 at a time, though Tesco has exceeded 315 as I used that for fuel groceries and ciggies past fewweeks.
Excellent advice on the cap 1 cards -I'll add tenner each to min dd each month, think if I can keep control of Tesco I'll use that for contactless spending.
Thanks all thi might just have change my way of thinking towards 2017-only concern is 'control' -I don't want to live in excess of 50% of any card limit tempered to pay difference to Tesco this month though 25 min dd should bring it just under 50% 600 limit.
Lots to think about, and 5-6 mths to reduce Aqua whilst 0%Replenished CRA Reports.2020 Nissan Leaf 128-149 miles top charge. Savings depleted. VM Stream tv M250 Volted to M350 then M500 since returned to 1gb0
