ok sorry if this has been asked before but i have had a brief look and cant find anything
i am wanting advice on investing £2000 for each of my 2 children one is 18 and one is 12 i would like them to get the money at 21yrs! any ideas on the best accounts
also best advice on getting the best interest on a savers account that you are able to get at your money when you want with a deposit of £10,000

For your kids money, the best rates around are on one year fixed-term bonds. I know your timescale is longer, but you could reassess what to do in a year. Best current rates are near 7% gross (eg Birmingham Midshires @ 6.91%).

I thought FTBs might go higher still, but with the Northern Rock situation and inflation apparently on the way down, maybe they have peaked.
