OH is getting stressed about her phone. Generally works ok but facebook is a problem. It all works ok except when she tries to look at comments it shuts facebook down. It only started this week, when (I think) facebook updated. My phone has the same version and has no problem. She has a Samsung.
Any suggestions?

Just looked at the comments on the app and this seems to be a fault with the program. Hopefully they will correct it soon. Thanks for trying to help.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

Download "Tinfoil for facebook", it's an app that adapts the mobile web version of Facebook to work like the official app. As a bonus (unlike the official Facebook app) it doesn't request permissions to your entire life.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

I personally use the mobile website rather than the app. The app wanted access to almost everything and I wasn't happy about that. The mobile website also seems to work faster. It also is not using up storage space.Paid off the last of my unsecured debts in 2016. Then saved up and bought a property. Current aim is to pay off my mortgage as early as possible. Currently over paying every month. Mortgage due to be paid off in 2036 hoping to get it paid off much earlier. Set up my own bespoke spreadsheet to manage my money.0

Yes, I stopped updating the app when it was asking for permissions to read my SMS/text messages and emails. Oddly enough Facebook realised that a lot of us didn't like this and for the last year or so haven't forced us to update as they used to do. If they do eventually force an update, i'll remove the app completely and move purely to "Tinfoil for Facebook".“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”
