If anyone has any expertise I could really do with a hand...
My CH system was drained and the rads removed when plastering about 2 months ago. They were replaced and the system filled back up by someone not very qualified who never the less seemed to know what he was doing, and the CH and HW have been working ok since then, but I have hardly had to put the CH on until now.
Last night I put on an upstairs rad which had not been turned on until now and that seems to have bu@@ered it up...now the boiler clicks on but clicks off again a few minutes later with the light flashing to say there is insufficient pressure in the CH system. It then won't click back on for half an hour or so.
The actual boiler pressure is fine btw, between 1.5 and 2 bar, so it isn't that. It's a Ferolli Modena 80E if that helps.
If anyone has any ideas they will be gratefully recieved...me and my little boy are brass monkeys, and there isn't any money to call anyone out until payday at the end of the month.

Hi
Is the boiler noisy when doing this? Might be air from the rad you turned on has found its way to the boiler.Does the pressure gauge needle move/ vary from the pressure you posted .

Hi, I have now made sure rads are all bled and also turned the auto air valve and emptied all the air out of the boiler. Still no joy...
The pressure does drop when the boiler clicks off but only by a few points, maybe from 2 to 1.7 bar. Not enough to stop it firing up surely?

could be that water flow thro boiler is rerstricted so boiler heats water init and the water flow is slow, so the boiler thinks its up 2 temp. and switches off.
i had the fault a few yrs ago ,gas man said it was the board.0 -
Well the obvious thing that might be at fault is the low pressure switch, but this would need to be checked by someone competent.0
