Can you not assign someone to manage your affairs should you go into a home, a relative for example? If you wrote out clear instructions perhaps they would administer it for you.
Thank you for your reply. It will take them months to sort it out and therefore I would like to ensure they are not out of pocket (I would like to pay not just for mileage but loss of earnings. At the same time I would not like to pay more than I would expect to pay a solicitor or accountant or any council or government official).

Nothing you can do to "maximise" your income from spreading your money about could ever compensate you for what it'd cost a professional to get to the bottom of everything you've got and close down all your accounts into one.

    Do it yourself now.
    Thank you for your reply.

. Thank you for your reply. Several of the credit card have a zero interest period. When that ends, unless the outstanding amount is paid off, interest close to 30% would be levied. Hence the need to closely monitor everything.

Can't you at least cancel some of your credit cards? How much do you spend on them each month? Surely unless you have huge credit card debt you don't need 15. I'm your age - more or less - and I manage perfectly well with one and I'm pretty extravagant.

Read the website, and if you need clarification, either phone or email and ask. We, who do not run 24 current accounts, 15 credit cards and numerous investments are not in a position to help you.
Thank you for your reply. I am new and am not aware that I could email or phone anyone. Pls can you provide this information or a link where I can find out the phone/email adress.

Thank you. I am painfully aware of how much time would be needed and I want to compensate my attorney and that's why I needed a figure that would be reasonable to pay per hour spent.

This makes no sense at all, you're going to keep your scheme going, for a hobby I'm guessing, but any money you're going to make between now and the time you instruct your 'attorney' to wind things up will be lost paying him, plus thousands more if you're expecting him to give up work for weeks/months to solely sort your mess. Will this 'attorney' even be willing to give up his job for you?

Why can't you wind things up yourself now and at least quit while you're ahead?

Thank you for your reply. In all likelihood, I will be winding it up at some stage, not yet. I however am making a lasting power of attorney just in case I go out of my mind beforehand. I want to make provision for my attorney to be compensated should the need arise.

Thanks for your reply. If I were to do so, I would lose about £1500 worth of incentives annually from banks/credit card companies.

    That's £125 a month.

I don't know about you, but I value 3 days of my time as worth more than £125.
  • The OP says they are 73 so IMHO he/she should be going out and having a whale of a time on their money rather than spending hours and hours moving it around.

I guess the question is how or where did people suddenly start moving money around multiple accounts/cardsto make trivial amounts in some cases.

And the answer is the advice on this website, look at the monsters it can breed.
