Bewley Homes - think 3 times before buying from them

Options
We have come across with Bewley homes this summer when we decided to buy from their new development near Woodley.

Honestly, looking back, our experience with them has been nothing but long and endless discussions. You would think one of the advantages of buying a new build is that you can modify things while it is built. We haven't even been asked if we would like extra sockets, or shower head in our bathroom, etc. although I would be more than happy to pay I wasn't even made aware of. One could think that is their loss as they will miss out on sales. However, when we did ask things, they always had an excuse not to do it. This meant everything we asked had to be a long conversations via email and on the phone and had to be escalated. Not sure why they still keep a sales office if they can't even sort out any matter.

Eventually, we have come to terms and completed last week. We did our snagging during the handover (I must open a bracket here to mention that sales office was completely rushing this off and telling us anything we notice later will absolutely be taken care of by the customer care - so despite their customer service if you do choose to buy from them, don't trust their words and do a very detailed snagging with pictures) After we moved in, I wanted to do a laundry and realised some buttons on the washing machine weren't working and there was a small crack on the display. When we raised this with Bewley Homes, they actually blamed us with lying saying that it happened after the handover because they did their snagging and tests. Needless to say they are not accepting any responsibility but also they are actually blaming their customer with lying.

The treatment we received from them has never been kind but this last one was the cherry on top.

Never trust them because they won't trust you when it is their turn to trust!!!

Another conveyor belt developer, another dissatisfied customer, that's one reason I avoided new builds
