Check daily and still no refund,Dunelm have now given me the refund number which I have passed onto my bank.my bank have said any refund can take up to 15 days to go back into my account,Dunelm have mentioned a good will gesture but we will see how long the refund takes ,it's 22 days since they took the money.... do we think a £1 a day is about right or should i go for more :money:

So £250 was missing for 24 days.
They are allowed 14 days, so it's really only ten days that are at issue.

Let's be really generous and say interest at 5%.
    5% of £250 is £12.50 - that's the interest that would've been earned over a whole year.

Over that ten days your £254.94 would've earned almost thirty-five pence - if you could find somewhere paying 5% p.a.

How much compensation are you looking for?

Technically he could charge interest per legislative guidance at BoE base rate plus 8% :)

If you mean the late payment of commercial debts (interest) act - it only applies where both parties are acting in the course of a business . Also - where there is no agreed date for the payment then interest only becomes chargeable after 30 days pass.

Unless I've perhaps misunderstood your post but thats the only legislation I know that allows to charge 8% + BOE base rate.
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride

    If you say so.

The interest figure leaps up to just under 58p at 8.25% for 10 days. :D
