UKCPS suspended from IPC

According to the IPC website info for UKCPS: "AOS Membership currently inactive with effect from 13/10/2016."

Which is strange, because I have a letter from them dated 24th October saying they are an accredited AOS operator. I'm writing to them saying I will disregard their letter and fine, since they are not accredited and they have wasted my time by pretending that they are.

it seems that UKCPS were suspended on 13/10 but thier suspension is now up (one mth) providing they pass a DVLA check

Yep but no evidence they've passed the DVLA check!

  • The incident happened 19 Sep. The organisation the car was parked outside 'appealed' it, and they replied to that address. They haven't written to the registered keeper's address. The PCN doesn't work on the IAS website, which is what led me to find out that they'd been suspended..

ok , ticket on car , they appealed ,

they cannot obtain details untill day 28 and must write before day 56

19th sept = 28th oct first available chance to get info (they were banned at that point ) last day to get info (legally) 5th dec is the last day they can go to the dvla for info

keep them stewing for another week or 3

Well the organisation, as a corporate/inanimate body, can't have been the 'driver' and it's too late for UKCPS to get the rk data so I would suggest sit tight and yep, report them for this:
letter from them dated 24th October saying they are an accredited AOS operator.

It's contrary to the CPUTRs to state they have accreditation etc. when a trader doesn't.

they HAVE accreditation , its just that they have been suspended from using it!

perhaps the statment should read accredited to the IPC (but suspended)

  • Well, the letter says they will only engage with the IAS standard appeals service if an appeal is lodged within 21 days of their letter. If it's not possible to lodge that appeal because they're suspended, then it's difficult to treat their letter and claim seriously..

then the person that received the letter MUST appeal , the right of appeal is enshrined in the POFa , and if the company cannot supply an independent appeal , they cannot continue
