Bank Account for Offshore Society

My friend lives in the Isle of Man and has started a new historical society there. Most of us members live here on the mainland UK and the secretary etc lives here. Membership is mostly through facebook atm. We need to open up a bank account for items sold via our society plus memberships etc but the person dealing with memberships can't open up a Business account because the society is registered on the Isle of Man!
What can we do? Any help gratefully received.

Open an account with a branch of a bank situated on the Isle of Man?0

The bank that I worked for in my past life had both domestic and international branches (or at least sortcodes, they may have been physically located in one place) in the Isle of Man, so it ought to be possible for someone based in the UK to open one there.0

The problem is that the bank account for the society was opened up in the Isle of Man (because thats where she lives) but the membership secretary lives on Mainland UK and when she went in to the bank to open up a Business Account, they said no because the Account is in the IofM :-(0

But what is preventing the Membership Secretary from opening a business account for the society in the Isle of Man, as suggested?Evolution, not revolution0
