Credit file concerns

Hi there

I am pretty new to looking at my credit score/file however when looking today I have noticed that there are two checks on my file that confuse me.

I have seen someone called Wage day advance did a application check last month when I have never heard of them and also it shows I was searching for insurance quotes via compare the market which I also wasnt doing.

Am I right to be concerned and potentially someone is doing this pretending to be me or is all this just companies who have got my details from other companies in the past checking me out to offer products?

The insurance quotes will be annual soft searches.

Are there any PDLs on your file? Or previous applications that you have made?

I have seen a number of companies (Aviva, Hastings etc) checked me on that day so im guessing the annual check makes sense although my insurance runs out early next year.

In terms of PDL I did one once over a year ago but nothing since after realising its dodgy ground!

Check to see if the PDLs are affiliated.

Just checked and they are indeed the same company. Wondering whether its just them checking up or whether someone has actually done this in my name.

Probably just a soft search. But check your files from time to time anyway.
