    And can you remember how much "special funding" they have had over the last five years or so to eliminate vehicle theft by various initiatives - IIRC it runs into the millions and of course none of that has ever been seen by the victims! :(

    I don't see what Police Scotland have to do with it being stolen in the Merseyside area.

    It wasn't. Read the OP again. It was stolen in Aberdeenshire (possibly by a Scouser) and found in Liverpool.

    And stolen again in Liverpool when recovered by the police.
