BOS Vantage monthly pay-in question

Options
I have recently opened 2 Bank of Scotland Vantage accounts. I understand that these accounts require a monthly pay-in of £1000 for interest to be paid. Do transfers from Halifax accounts qualify for the monthly pay-in requirements? I have been transferring funds from another bank to Halifax and then from Halifax to BOS. BOS accounts show on my Halifax online banking which makes this convenient. I am unsure if this is counted as an internal transfer as Halifax and BOS are part of the same group. I couldn't find anything in the account T&Cs regarding the matter.

Even BOS to BOS is acceptable. My £1000 goes from Santander to BOS3 to BOS2 to BOS1 to TSB to Santander mopping the interest up on the way. Same question the other day, the replies quoted the t&c https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5553788
  • I believe you also need 2 DDs set up to qualify for the interest (per account) - this is my problem with opening another as I have other accounts that needs the DDs (santander) you only have so many active DDs (or you would hope!)

You can have as many DDs as you need. Tesco Bank will sort you out!

My point was that you may not have that many DD's. I have multiple accounts that require certain amount of DDs and now I would need to go looking for new DDs to qualify for another current account with good interest.

So use Tesco Bank! Their savings accounts allow multiple DDs.
