Tesco price different when delivered.

Hello.


My mate told me about beer/cider offer at Tesco on Monday evening.
The "offer" was 20 cans Strongbow for £9 and 20 cans Fosters for £11. It was for deliveries from 8 - 14 November. These prices were also on mysupermarket.
Both mine and his delivery was for Wednesday. His was a timed slot and mine was flexi slot.
Tesco ring in the morning and tell you what time they will deliver on a flexi slot but yesterday they did not.
I am on Sky broadband/call and i noticed the router had an amber light so my internet was down and checking service update it was for most of Beds,Herts and nearby areas.
I also noticed the phone line was not working. I left the house but my partner was there.
The delivery turned up and all was there. I came home and when i checked the paperwork i was charged £12 each for the beer/cider. I called my mate on my mobile and when he checked he was also charged the same.
Both of our order emails state £9 for cider and £11 for Fosters.
I also checked Tuesday evening and they were still the same price. I know Tesco say the price will/maybe different on delivery day.
Sent email using my mobile as broadband/phone still not working and this morning got a reply saying that he has checked the online price for Monday and it was £12 each and i must of made a mistake and i can take my beer/cider back to the store for a refund as he cant do nothing in an email.
My mate got nearly the same email as me.
I do not have any screenshots of the website price but i/we do have the email stating £9 and £11 per item.
I dont know if any body else had this problem this week with this offer. Do we just let this go and move on or email/call Tesco and see what happens. My broadband/phone are still down at the mo.

Use the Cached Pages (or similar) website and see if the Tesco page from Monday is cached with the offer showing?

Thank you Hasbeen.
I was wondering if i had been dreaming this up.
So it was advertised as £9 a 20 pack.
What should i do now then?
I cant get onto live chat at Tesco as there is no button to click but it says click button for live chat.
My fibre/phone is still down and my payg cost 10pm and i dont get free 0800 numbers.
I dont get home till about 8pm so maybe i could try then if phone working.

andrewmp that was the page i used last night but you only get 1000 letters and i need more than that. Your link is the same as i have tried to contact Tesco by chat but there is no button there to click on and i have tried 3 browsers and its still the same. Thank you for your reply.

An update.
I called late last night and explained and he said the price was correct at £12 a case.
Explained what they were again online monday and he said the offer changed on Tuesday to £12 and i then said i have screen shots of the prices and email stating the prices and he then changed his attitude.
He said send in screenshots and Tesco will have a look into it.
I went to hotdeals site and grabed the screenshot but i do not have the £11 Fosters one. Does anybody have one or know where i can get one from please.

You should be charging them for your time. That's horrible customer service. To be fair to tesco they usually sort any problems quickly when they arise.

Despite that website showing the price of £9 for the 20 cans, on Tesco.com its priced at £12 and Fosters is the same price too.

Tesco C/S person called me a few mins ago and after a chat he said Tesco will reimburse me £10 for the wrongly advertised prices. So it was £9 and £11.
He said there was a confusion about if it was instore or online promotion or both and a lot of customers have called up about it.
He did say that because i had screenshots and my emails about the shopping order made it easier to pay me and if i did not have these Tesco may not have refunded me anything back.
