Just read about this in the Guardian, no details though. Anyone know anything

They're talking about Northern Rock's interim dividend of 14.2 pence per share, which will be paid on 26th October to anyone who held shares on 26th September.
The dividend is a payment of the profits for the first half of the calendar year, and was announced on 25th July.0 -
Oh right, so it is just our normal dividend payment. The way I read it, it seemed as if it were some sort of compensation.
