Hot water issue

Should the heating switch produce hot water? The rads have been getting hot when we put the water on. A new three port valve was fitted (actuator and box) . Before the fix the water seemed unusually hot and was told the valve would solve it all. Anyways rads no longer coming on when water switch down but when we have heating switch down on its own it's making hot water. So much so that we haven't needed to out water switch on. It's a condenser boiler, there is a tank in cupboard where boiler is but whoever fitted it out the thermostat round the back so I can't see if it's too high or touching tank etc. Any advice would be helpful, I've never really understood how it all works so have no idea what's normal. How hot should the water be that comes out of your tank? Thanks

If you have had a new three port valve, there must have been a reason apart from water getting unusually hot? What was the reason? Was the valve not changing over from heating to water? I think you need to explain about the heating switch "being down." What is your set up for controlling the boiler? Do you have a controller or is it manually controlled. Suggest you need to have your thermostat on hot water cylinder moved round to the front.
