I don't think this is a competition to win a laptop; the web page says:
"And Cheapflights is giving you the chance to win £2,000 to spend on this next generation technology!"

    The entry form is here:
    http://www.webbrands.co.uk/coremicrosite/cheapflights_laptop?cid=1044&src=76718

This has the same options as given on the cheapflights web site:
    http://www.cheapflights.co.uk/email-alerts/index.html
with the same terms and conditions and privacy policy.

So if you do not like Webbrands, use the cheapflights form to subscribe(?)

Whilst its posssible that the T&Cs are for an expired competition, the entryform being on a completely different site to the alleged sponsor sets my alarm bells ringing.

    I think I'll give this a miss.

  • Oh bother. I've only just managed to stop web brands spam. That'll teach me to read all the posts before I enter. Does anyone know if I can unsubscribe now before they even have a chance to spam me?

We all decide for ourselves but the majority of us don't enter comps from my offers, get me a ticket, !!!!!! etc.
I think kipper was speaking for a lot of us.

I think you've misunderstood what Kipper said.

First of all it was qualified by "in general".

Second I think she was referring to the users of the board, and, as she's been on here more than 3 years and has seen a lot of what people like/ dislike, its a very fair & informed comment to make.

Of course, if you don't believe Kipper (or me) you are very welcome to post a poll and see what the results are.
