Where to put new combi boiler?

We're planning to convert to gas central heating and we're not sure where to put the combi boiler.
We have three options:
1. In the kitchen (This will involve removing a cupboard. When the kitchen is eventually replaced we'll have to plan the kitchen around the boiler. We're currently tight on storage space in the kitchen but have an option of putting additional cupboards on another wall. External piping would be minimal.)
2. In the bathroom where the hot water tank currently is (This is the least disruptive option however it will involve much more external gas piping. The boiler would be against a bedroom wall with a bed directly on the other side - which could be noisy?)
3. In a walk-in cupboard under the stairs (which may be converted into a downstairs loo in a few years time, the boiler may then slightly restrict access to getting in. External piping would be minimal).
The bathroom is directly above the kitchen. We don't want to put it the boiler in the attic and we don't have an attached garage.
Can anyone offer any advice on where would be best to put the boiler?

I'd keep it away from bedrooms, too much noise.
I plan to put my replacement at the foot of the stairs, by the front door.
Under the stairs sounds okChanging the world, one sarcastic comment at a time.0
