One of my parents passed away, their car is a SORN I can not find any of the paperwork or keys relating to the car

Can i scrap the vehicle if i do not have keys or any paperwork

I have scrapped cars without paperwork.
Just used 'car take back' site.
Only time I had DVLA hassle was when my insurer scrapped my car!

Just scrapped a deceased relatives car. There was no paperwork or keys. I went onto the net and into a number of 'scrap your car' type websites and got a value. I had to email photographic proof of my ID and also had to be with the car when it was removed.
The scrappers rang me with a date and time and off it went. I could choose whether to have the money sent by cheque or into the bank.
Some scrappers won't accept cars without keys but this one did. I would suggest ringing the firms and checking for yourself.
