Economy 7....... is it worth it?

I use E7 every night to heat water through immersion and top up via boiler around 5pm, do about 5 washes overnight and charge phones etc overnight. Are we using enough to be worth it, currently around 20% of my usage. Would there be a benefit in not using immersion and heating water solely from boiler?

You need to look at actual kWh figures for your day and night units and work out your break even point, as it varies depending on your supplier and your region. Five washing machine loads overnight may be significant but your phone chargers use so little, that you would not notice the difference.

It depends of your machine, as unless you are using the hottest programs, it may well fill using cold water anyway. You may be going to a lot of effort to try to save but only the actual figures will prove it one way or the other.

Hi Sab...It didn't pay for me to be on E7 at 30%.
Southern Electric swapped to new meter free, tho you could ask for both numbers to be added together.
