Ultion lock oil

Hi I have just had a new door with the 3* Ultion lock and looking on their web site the oil is an eye watering £11.95

What is so special about it?
Thanks

  • No idea, we have an Ultion, not needed to lubricate it yet but would have though a good PFTE lubricant would have done the trick.

Sorry to dig up an old thread but is Ultion compatible with any euro lock compatible door?

Take a typical composite door lock and the likes of DoorStop will say use silicone lubricant. Cheapish at around £3.50 for a spray can.

IIRC graphite lubricant, rather than silicone, is usually better for locks and I think that's what my DoorStop instructions said.
