Noticed some work going on at Fistral this morning. Looks like they're putting some sensors down.
Not quite sure of the implications ?

That van isn't parked within a marked bay. I hope they don't get a PCN. :eek:I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

They're explosive charges. A man will actively watch the camera live feed - and if he sees you leaving the car without buying a ticket he'll press a button and it'll set off an explosive that tosses your car onto the beach, where the tide will take it out.Ivor_Pecheque wrote: »Looks like they're putting some sensors down.

Actually - I know what these are. They have them in the car park of my local Sainsbury's.
They're magnetic sensors which just tell the central computer when a car is in the space. They'll no doubt be linked to one of those electronic signs that tells you how many spaces are available in the car park.0 -
correct , and "should" result in less cars driving around looking for a space , untill little "jonny" stands a coke can on topSave a Rachael

Presumably they will install an entrance sign (having first obtained advertising consent of course) showing how many spaces are free, or alternatively show that the car park is full. No doubt it will also tell any motorist where that space is if there is one. That way nobody will enter the car park unless there is a space, and as already mentioned, won't need to drive around looking for a space.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

Are these the fabled "magic SMART sensors" that Smart have been banging-on about for the last five years or so and named their company after - do they actually work well enough to be let out in the wild.0

Given that the ANPR Camera actually takes photos of the vehicles when they are still on the public highway, it should be quite profitable.pappa_golf wrote: »and cause traffic chaos on the main road0
