Hi all

I tried to rtesurrect this thread:-
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3718403
but it's been closed (not surprised after 3 years ).

Anyway, I've downloaded everything I want and got a 32GB USB (probably overkill but I've got a works 8GB stick I can probably swap it with).

Anyway, XBoot seems simple enough to use.
I want to add:-
Ubuntu
Hirens
Avira Rescue Disk
Kaspersky Rescue Disk
and a couple of password revealers for Windows (ready for when someone comes to me with the immortal "I've forgotten my password and can't get to my only copy of files/photos/etc, can you help?"

On the thread I've linked to, I read that things had to be put on in a certain order but I can't find which order.

Any help would be appreciated.

Also, would anyone chuck on anything else?

    Thanks AndyPix

I thought you had to be able to run Windows to run Malwarebytes and ADW?

    Sounds good.

What I'm trying to do is have one "toolkit" that has everything on it (hence the two off-line virus scanners).
I'm trying to get my stick to have a version of Linux I'm comfortable with (Ubuntu), a version of Windows (hence Hirens which also contains Malwarebytes amongst others) and a few other bits and pieces.

    Hi
Is this a bootable version of Windows 7 that you have made from a Windows install disc?

You might want also to have a look at YUMI/PenDriveLinux as an alternative to Xboot...

I use to use Kon-Boot on a reasonably regular basis
Change is inevitable, except from a vending machine.

As one of the Three Musketeers involved in that thread along with dcm and spud, that thread was fun, from a time when time was more freely available to play ;)

it didn't actually matter which order you put the ISOs into xboot, but just check that qemu verifies, AND THEN YOU TRY TO BOOT FROM EACH ISO YOU PUT ON THE STICK :D You may have to play around with versions a bit, but shouldn't have too many problems :)

Oh, and if you're putting Hiren's on there, it has the NTOffline Password editor in the DOS page to run independantly, can remove most windows pw's with that rather than trying to brute-force a crack.....

    Happy playing :D

I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple :D

The developer of Xboot died a couple of years ago. I have used it but it can be tricky to use due to being buggy. A good alternative is Yumi pendrive. An even better one Is multisystem but this can only be used via a Linux based operating System. I have several USB flash drives with various ISOs put on them using Multisystem. They have on them a mixture of rescue type utilities and Linux operating systems. I have Hiren,s, Falcoln4UBCD, Parted magic, Linux Mint 18 cinnamon,Knoppix, Trinity rescue and a variety of other operating systems on them.
