Strange text message from NatWest

Got this this morning:
Thanks for registering the number 0784082xxxx for NatWest Mobile Banking. If you have not registered this number, please contact us on 0345 366 0012
.
The phone number quoted is not the number I received the text on (nothing like it) and I have no idea who the number belongs to. I also do not have (never) any NatWest products. The number quoted is a genuine NatWest CS number.

I can understand someone mistyping a mobile number but I can't understand why the text would be sent to a completely unrelated mobile number.
