Faulty Clutch Cable
Hi All - This is my first post, but really thought someone here could give me some advice.
In June I bought a new clutch cable for my car and had it fitted. The weekend just gone I set off on a fishing trip and the cable snapped. AA recovery said it was the piece that attaches it to the pedal.
The place where I bought it said if I buy a new one and get it fitted then return the faulty one to them they will refund me.
My questions is though, should I be liable to pay for it being fitted again. also it will cost more this time as when it was done the first time the car was still driveable but this time somebody will have to come to it.
Thanks in advance for any advice.

If you'd taken your car to a garage, and asked them to supply and fit the cable last time, then it would all be their problem this time around.
The supplier of the part has accepted liability - and replaced the part.
He wasn't involved in the fitting - so why should he pay for fitting the replacement?
The fitter did nothing wrong - why should he fit it again for free?0 -
The pitfalls for supplying your own parts.
Dont supply your own parts unless fitting it yourself or getting a mate to fit it for you etc.
The garage would probably have paid less for the part anyway, and you would have got a parts and labour warranty.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
