Does that machine do cappuccinos etc?
I get that, I used to drink there but they priced themselves out of the market and replace nice comfortable furniture with awful hard uncomfortable furniture.
You are getting caught up in branding, whether it is Costa or Carte Noir, you are overpaying. Carte Noir is overpriced but even that in instant rotates down to £3 a jar, divide that by the number of cups you get and you are paying pennies. Costa is £5 for 8 pods.
Now if you like that sort of coffee try the Barista type instant coffees like Azeera which has three varieties. Avoid the dow egberts Kenco brands because they rip you off giving you less than 100g AND their caps are not airtight so the coffee goes stale ( https://www.jacobsdouweegberts.com/brands/retail-brands/ )
There are all sorts of filter coffee you can buy, some you buy as beans, you can mix your own blends, you can choose arabica beans from Africa and Latin America, mix them 50/50 60/40 70/30. Even different parts of Latin America are very different, Columbia and Cuban coffee for example are worlds apart.
If you want a machine that makes cappuccinos look on Freecycle, people give them away free regularly.
Personally if I want to make cappuccino I just use semi skimmed milk, warm it up and then shake it in a 2L milk carton.
Latte is not base on filter coffee it is based on expresso, so again there are machines that do both expresso and cappuccino on freecycle or you can buy for £30, or you get this sort of italian expresso maker.

I do not have a problem with machines for convenience, like this one for £50

What I have a problem with is a machine that forces you to buy their pods and pay rip off prices for coffee. I want to be able to use whatever coffee I want. Thanks, don't you just hate people with sigs !0 -
Pod coffee machines are far less hassle than a cafetiere or a drip machine.
We have a Tassimo and we love it. I think they are really good, and much prefer them to the Dolce Gusto (which we also have).0 -

Well I guess you do not mind being ripped off. it is your money after all.
I liken it to some printers, the ones that stitch you up for printer ink which is now one of the top 5 most expensive liquids per ml on the planet.
I get the convenience angle if people are hopeless at making coffee but the price is not worth it to me.
If you go into a Costa you will see their processes are exact so that school girls can produce the same standard of coffee.
If you have a coffee machine you have to measure exactly and work out what you like.
Coffee is by nature bitter, so you have to work out what you like. Thanks, don't you just hate people with sigs !0 -

You have to follow the whole paper path, remove anything removable, often you get a tiny bit of tirn paper somewhere along the path.
This is a good review

We tried everything advised, even used an air duster. What is annoying is it managed to develop the issue while being sat there unused. The last time it was used It was fine then I turned it on recently and got the message.
One thing we want from a printer is for them to not stop selling any of the inks in a few years. They stopped selling the photo quality ink for our current printer last year.0
