Do you think I should keep and renew my RAC which covers Unlimited Rescue - Roadside, Recovery & At Home Rescue.

OR just use the Hyundai roadside assistance which is free with the car but I dont think it offers to send my car back to my choice of place anywhere in UK like I think RAC does If I breakdown and car cannot be fixed.

And has anyone had any problems when they have needed to ring the Hyundai assistance number who then contact the RAC or AA or who ever to help with the breakdown.

Hyundai's cover won't leave you stuck if they can't fix it at the roadside. It'll provide you with a replacement car, accommodation or public transport - up to limits outlined on the next page - at their choice.

I suspect that the way it'll go is that they'll sort you accommodation if it's likely the dealer can quickly sort it with stock parts in the morning, otherwise it'll be onward travel - either car or public transport, depending on availability and relative cost. Which'll probably mean a hire car in most circumstances.

That sounds better to me than several hours in a breakdown truck, half an hour changing truck at the services at 2am in the rain, then another few hours in another breakdown truck...
