I have one of these:

However, the bulb is clearly from the 1970's and slowly dying.

So I was thinking about upgrading the whole thing to LED - including the power, which currently has some sort of converter that looks rather unsafe.

Can anyone suggest a small lamp that I could butcher?

I'm looking at something like a GU10 bulb but slightly smaller (hence LED), but that I can plug in. There doesn't seem to be anything else to worry about as the projector is just a couple of wires going to a bulb, plastic housing and a focus nozzle.

Thanks :D
