My laptop is running slow and fan seems very noisy. Like a whirring noise which gets nosier and it comes and goes.
Laptop is a Toshiba Satellite C660-108
Not sure what to do and thought I'd post these screenshots

close firefox
stop watching flash video and loading ads
enable power saver profile
reinstall windows7
install more ramDon't you dare criticise what you cannot understand0 -
Maybe open it up and clear out any dust.
If there's a lot of dust inside, the laptop will start to overheat, possibly causing it to reduce processing power to prevent damage.
But it definitely looks like you need more RAM. Only 3GB with shared video...?0 -
What have you running in Firefox ? It could be a memory leak, does the RAM used by Firefox keep going up if you just leave it ?
If that is the case, disable all addons and extensions in FF and see what happens.Science isn't exact, it's only confidence within limits.0 -
depends what you have laying around the house, different partition, phone, games console/pvr, camera, mp3 player, flash drive, sd card, dvdr, cdr, cloud.
if you are buying the ssd, there's little point asking the question.Don't you dare criticise what you cannot understand0 -
